Barone played in the fourth season Seinfeld Episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham a chef who wanted Elaine Benes shoes. In the early 1990s she was a regular cast member for Carol & Company with actress Carol Burnett. Barone Also, she played Ross Geller's ex-wife in the show's debut appearance as Friends. Barone left the show when she was looking for an additional full-time job. She was substituted with Jane Sibbett. Barone was in The Jeff Foxworthy Show during the first year (1995-1996) as well as The War at Home in 2005-2007. Barone appeared on The War at Home alongside Daddio in the year 2000. Barone has also appeared in Desperate housewives and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Matthew Glave, Barone's husband and actor Matthew Glave guest starred as J.J. Jones in two episodes.
